I have been working as a python developer and data analyst for just over 2 years. My expertise lies in problem solving, managing and visualising data, and developing web applications using Python and SQL.
Aside from my proficiency in Python and SQL, I also have business experience using AWS, R, Git, HTML and CSS . When working with data, I have used software such as MongoDB, Snowflake and MySQL. Additionally, I have a foundational understanding of Javascript and React. I am currently completing courses to expand my expertise in these areas.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from The University of York. During my time there, I studied about the modelling of random processes such as those which occur in financial markets, Cryptography, Game Theory and Mathematical Programming. I completed my final year project on using mathematical modelling in R to predict a full Premier League season.
A web platform designed initially for my friends, with two main game modes: Predictions League, and a Last Man Standing competition.
The Last Man Standing game mode challenges players to pick a winning team each week; if their chosen team loses, they are eliminated from the competition.
Predictions League allows users to predict every Premier League match outcome and you can join leagues with your friends to see who has the best knowledge.
The project is built using Python & Plotly Dash for the interactive front-end, Flask as the back-end framework, and MongoDB for database management. It leverages Dash AG Grid for data presentation. The platform is hosted on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.
